Covid-19: 13 new clusters, six involved workplace

KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Health (MOH) has detected 13 new Covid-19 clusters within the last 24 hours.

Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, with the increment, a total of 5,624 clusters have been discovered in the country to date.

According to him, six of the new clusters were workplace clusters, 3 community clusters, 1 cluster each for private education institution registered under the Ministry of Education, education, high risk group and detention centre

“762 clusters are still active, however, 4862 clusters have ended,” he said in a statement today.

Earlier today, Noor Hisham shared that 7,950 new Covid-19 cases have been reported nationwide today.

From that amount, 7,921 were local infections, meanwhile, 29 were imported cases.

At the same time, 7,817 cases were under Category 1 and 2, meanwhile, 133 cases were Category 3, 4 and 5.

Noor Hisham also said that 725 cases are currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit and 380 required respiratory support. -MalaysiaGazette
