Thunderstorm, heavy rain in six states this evening

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecasted thunderstorm and heavy rain in six states from 4.00 pm – 6.00 pm today.

Based on a statement issued by MetMalaysia, thunderstorm warning was issued on Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak.

“Thunderstorm and heavy rain is forecasted in the Kinta, Kampar and Batang Padang districts in Perak, meanwhile, in Pahang, it may involve the Cameron Highlands, Bentong and Rompin.

“In Negeri Sembilan, it may involve the Jelebu and Seremban districts, meanwhile, in Johor (Mersing, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru),” it said.

According to that statement, Sarawak would involve the Mukah area (Daro, Matu, Dalat and Mukah); Bintulu (Tatau and Bintulu); Miri (Subis, Telang Usan, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang.

In Sabah, among the areas involved are Pedalaman (Sipitang, Keningau and Tambunan); Pantai Barat; Tawau (Tawau, Kunak and Lahad Datu); Sandakan (Kinabatangan and Sandakan) and Kudat. – MalaysiaGazette
