KUALA LUMPUR – The Member of Parliament of Ampang, Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin will be leading a new political party called, Parti Bangsa Malaysia.
According to a source the party was approved by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) on 29 October.
Nevertheless, the party would not involve the Member of Parliament (MP) of Gombak, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali as rumoured earlier.
The Senior Minister is said to remain with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
Besides, Zuraida, the Julau MP, Larry Soon @ Larry Sng will also be joining the new party.
The Independent MP is rumoured to hold the second highest position in the party.
Besides that, the former PKR leader cum Kuala Langat MP, Dr Xavier Jayakumar is also rumoured to join the new party.
It is understood that Parti Bangsa Malaysia would be a Perikatan Nasional friendly party and it would be launched in December 2021.
The logo of the party would be taken from the logo of a non-government organisation, Penggerak Komuniti Negara with some tweaks. – MalaysiaGazette
