KUALA LUMPUR – A senior citizen who was suspected of suffering from mental health issues was found dead after she fell off a flat at Cheras.
The incident happened early this morning, said the Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Idzam Jaafar today.
“Investigation at the location found the 62-year-old local woman lying unconscious in a black Myvi at the parking lot of the flat,” he said in a statement today.
The car’s front windscreen and bonnet were damaged and its front door opened following the impact of the fall.
The victim was believed to have fallen from the 9th floor where she stayed.
She was pronounced dead by the Medical Officer from the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital (HCTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia who was rushed to the location right after receiving the distress call from the public.
The police did not find any element of criminal act on the victim’s body and the case was classified as Sudden Death Report (SDR).
“Early investigation found that the deceased suffered from mental health problem and there was no element of crime in this incident.
“Further investigation will be conducted to identify the cause of death,” he said. -MalaysiaGazette
