PUTRAJAYA – The rumours that Datuk Seri Rina Harun would be dropped out from during the Cabinet reshuffle do not affect her at all.

On the contrary, the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development vowed to carry on with her duty in the ministry.

“I have answered several times. I have been hearing about these rumours since I became a minister in 2018.

“So, I’ll leave it to the leadership. People can say anything but I would like to focus on providing my best service to the people,” she said during a news conference today when asked to comment on the speculations that she is one of the three ministers who would be dropped out from the Cabinet.

Besides her, Minister at Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions) Datuk Dr Abd Latiff Ahmad from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and Minister of National Unity, Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique from UMNO have also been named as the ministers affected in the reshuffle for failing to perform.

According to Rina, she is currently focussing on helping the community to rise again after the Covid-19 and floods hit the country.

“2022 is the year where we need to live with Covid-19. That is the focus that we must give,” she added. -MalaysiaGazette
