KUANTAN – Three men were killed while two others injured in an accident involving two cars near Desa Bidara Jalan Muadzam-Gambang, Kuantan, Pahang early this morning.
The Assistant Operations Director of the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department, Ismail Abdul Ghani said that they received a distress call about the accident involving a BMW and Proton Iswara at 4.28 am.
“Six members from the Muadzam Shah Fire and Rescue Department were rushed to the scene along with a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) engine.
“Upon arrival, the rescuers found that three men in Proton Iswara were stuck in the car and they have died at the scene.
“The two men in BMW sustained light injuries and were given medical treatment,” he said in a statement today.
According to Ismail, the rescuers managed to evacuate the victims by using the Rescue Power Unit.
He said, the rescue operation was completed at 5.17 am and the police took over the investigation. -MalaysiaGazette
