KUALA LUMPUR – There will be no need for compulsory temperature check before entering education institution premises under the Ministry of Education (MOE) from tomorrow (11 Feb) onwards.

However, all teachers, executors, support service staff and visitors must scan the MySejahtera QR Code before entering the education institution premises under MOE.

This move is concurrent with the recent announcement by the Senior Minister of Defence, who abolished the standard operating procedures (SOP) of body temperature check and registration record book before entering any premises beginning 11 February 2022.

However, as a safety measure, parents and guardians must ensure that their children are healthy and symptoms-free before they go to school.

In a statement, the MOE said that students who show symptoms or living with family members who are tested positive of Covid-19 are not allowed to go to school.

The health condition of the students at school will be continuously monitored to ensure that students who show symptoms will be isolated in the isolation room for further action.

The MOE also recommended that the regulation should also be applied in all education institutions that are not registered with the ministry. -MalaysiaGazette
