KUANTAN – An 81-years-old senior citizen died after he rammed into an excavator at Indera Mahkota this morning.
The Kuantan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said that the victim, Yin Choi who drove a Perodua Viva died at the scene.
“Preliminary investigation found that the driver who was driving from Lorong Indera Mahkota was heading towards Kuantan Town,” he said when contacted by MalaysiaGazette today.
According to Wan Mohd Zahari, the victim lost control and rammed into an excavator that was parked on the left side of the road.
“The senior citizen died at the scene following serious injury on his head due to the accident.
“His body was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) in Kuantan for post-mortem after the result of Covid-19 swab test is obtained,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. -MalaysiaGazette
