JOHOR BAHRU – Great news for the people without payslip as they can now get a home loan to buy a house.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, those without payslip can get the government’s guarantee via the subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), Skim Jaminan Kredit Berhad (SJKP)

According to him, the initiative is in line with the announcement during Budget 2022 last year, where RM2 billion was allocated to the SJKP.

“One of the requirements for home loan is payslip. Many self-employed do not have payslip. With Skim Jaminan Kredit Berhad, those without payslip can apply for the loan as it would be guaranteed by the government.

“This is an effort by the government to ensure those without permanent employment and such and can house ownership,” he said during the launch of PR1MA Innovative Housing Loan Scheme.

Elaborating further, Ismail said that the uncertainties due to Covid-19, escalating prices of houses and many youths find it difficult to own a house.

“Therefore, the government through the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK 12) and the National Affordable Home Council have highlighted immediate and long-term measures to solve this issue,” he said. – MalaysiaGazette
