KUALA LUMPUR – The new Covid-19 positive cases has dropped to 27,435 cases yesterday (6 March) after the daily cases exceeded 33,000 cases for three days consecutively before this.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, from the 26,435 cases yesterday, 254 were imported involving 232 citizens and 22 non-citizens.
The cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country had increased to 3,662,607 cases.
According to him, based on the latest Covid-19 status in the country as of yesterday, there were 30,335 cases of recoveries (3,281,128 cumulative cases), 27,181 local infections (26,263 citizens and 918 non-citizens).
“379 cases required treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 122 were confirmed Covid-19, 257 were suspected cases and under investigation.
“216 cases required respiratory support with 73 cases confirmed to be Covid-19, 143 cases were suspected cases and under investigation,” he said in a news release today.
From the 27,435 daily cases, 9,756 cases were in Category 1, 17,495 cases in Category 2, 89 cases in category 3, 53 cases in category 4 and 42 cases in category 5.
From the 184 cases of Category 3, 4 and 5 Covid-19 cases reported yesterday, 55 cases were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination, 85 cases had received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine but have yet to receive their booster dose. -MalaysiaGazette
