SHAH ALAM – UMNO should not blame PAS or anyone else for causing the fragile state of Muafakat Nasional (MN).
On the contrary, the Deputy President of PAS, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said that everyone played a role to ensure that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) successfully became a government earlier.
He said, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has its own contribution when it left Pakatan Harapan (PH), thus enabling UMNO and PAS to be a part of the government.
“Everyone has their contribution. We should admit that, for example, if Bersatu did not leave PH, neither UMNO nor PAS could be the government, thus, everyone should appreciate the contribution of each other.
“To me, it is better for us to look forward than to blame each other without any solution in the end,” he said during a news conference today, commenting on the allegation of the UMNO Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan who blamed PAS for crippling the efforts of MN.
Earlier, the President of PAS, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said that certain quarters in UMNO caused the cooperation in MN to be halted. According to him, those people had personal interests and wanted to change the agenda of unity as agreed between PAS and UMNO.
“PAS hoped that everyone can move forward towards creating the unity among believers without blaming each other. That is better than putting the burdens on a person, saying that he or she is wrong.
“It is better for us to move forward and see how the believers can be united,” he added. -MalaysiaGazette
