KUALA LUMPUR – Islam has never offered any repentance package which could wipe away one’s sins with just RM20 for each nominee.
The PAS Youth said, the package came shocking as Islam encourages all Muslims to always repent if they sin.
“To stop such issue from spreading, the Minister at Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Idris Ahmad will take immediate action on the perpetrators.
“The Islamic Religious Department of the states have also been instructed to investigate the social media pages which offer the repentance package with RM20 payment,” it said in a statement today.
Last Saturday, Idris gave his guarantee that the ministry will investigate the matter to track the perpetrators down and take actions against them.
He said, the state Religious Departments have also been asked to investigate the offer of the RM20 repentance package.
According to the statement, religious affairs of wiping off a person’s sins should not be bought and sold merely for profits.
“Surely, PAS is committed to consistently protect the holiness of Islam as the official Federal religion,” PAS Youth said. -MalaysiaGazette
